Ready to kick off the new year learning a new craft? Spend the evening stitching photographs in Sapphic Stitches, a queer photo embroidery workshop at Garlic Girl Vintage led by local artist Kasey Foley of @kaseyfolio.
During the class, Kasey will teach you to embroider directly onto photographs, using thread to add detail, emphasis, and personal meaning. You’re welcome to bring your own photo to stitch or choose from Kasey’s curated selection.
It’s time to unplug and stitch, connect, and unwind. All experience levels welcome!
What’s included:
-Instruction in photo embroidery techniques
-A curated selection of photographs to stitch on (or bring your own)
-All materials needed during the workshop
-A take-home photo embroidery kit
-Beverages and light snacks
This class takes place on Thursday January 15 at 7:00 pm at 1830 Columbia Road NW in Washington, DC.
Cancellation policy: If you must cancel, please do so 72 hours in advance to receive a refund, less a $3 cancellation fee to cover costs incurred by credit card fees. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class and no shows are not eligible for refunds.
